This Privacy Policy describes how Banshee Technologies S.L. ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Spain, handles information in connection with the Planchette — The Talking Board mobile application ("the App"), available on the Apple App Store.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App has been designed with a privacy-first approach: all AI processing happens locally on your device, and we do not collect personal data.
We do not collect any personal information. Specifically:
Planchette uses a local AI language model (LLM) that runs entirely on your device. All conversations, prompts, and responses are generated and processed locally. No conversation data is ever transmitted to external servers.
The AI model file (approximately 1.7 GB) is downloaded once from Hugging Face servers when you first use the App. This is a standard, anonymous HTTP download — no user data, authentication, or identifiers are sent during this process.

The App integrates two third-party services, neither of which receives personal data:
a) RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat (via the react-native-purchases SDK) to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes transactions through Apple's StoreKit framework and may receive an anonymous device identifier to manage subscription status. No personal data is shared with RevenueCat beyond what Apple provides through StoreKit.

b) Hugging Face
The AI model is downloaded from Hugging Face's servers on first use. This is a one-time, anonymous download. No user data is sent to Hugging Face, and no authentication is required.
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share any user data with third parties, because we do not collect any user data.
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to retain on our servers. Local data stored on your device (preferences) remains there until you delete the App or clear its data.
As a company based in the European Union (Spain), we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Although we do not collect personal data, you retain all rights granted under the GDPR, including the right to:

We take security seriously. Because all data processing occurs locally on your device, your conversations and preferences are protected by your device's built-in security features (device passcode, biometrics, encryption). We have no remote access to any of your data.
The App is rated 18+ on the Apple App Store and is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Users must accept an in-app disclaimer before using the App.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
